And hope they can grow up happily like ordinary children, develop good exercise habits and an interest in skipping rope.

Joint-school Rope Skipping Charity Rally

The vibrant “725 Rope Skipping Fun Day” to be held in St Joseph’s Anglo-Chinese School on July 25. The Rally adds meaning by not only promoting the physical well-being via rope skipping but also contributing to the Diocese’s fund-raising for church building and development(Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, 2022).

Purpose

Students in Hong Kong have been plagued by the covid epidemic for a long time, which has affected their normal face-to-face classes and their learning mood. Sports activities are even rarer, and their physical and mental development has been hindered. The event encourages more students and subsidizes students from low-income families to cultivate exercise habits and keep fit.
In addition to the cost of establishing 9 new charity rope skipping teams, which are sponsored by 10 different Lions clubs in Hong Kong and Macau, other activities are covered by the income of the Lion Cup 2022 rope skipping competition. The event hopes to let the public connect with all classes through a rope, and use the sport of rope skipping to experience the Olympic spirit. It also integrates philanthropy with sports, experience the Lions club spirit, WE SERVE, bringing influence and legacy to society and different stakeholders.
